After checking around regarding the smaller sealed beam headlight, I decided to go with the 7 inch headlight installed in the stock bucket (less the inner ring). I got my inspiration from a thread on the Yamaha Owners forum in a thread that included posts by Houghmade.
The 7 inch sealed beam fits perfectly into the outer ring after you remove the two nuts that connect the two rings. The spring clips still work to retain the headlight, just clipped into the outer ring instead of the inner ring. I polished up the bucket and here's the finished product. I think it's going to look sharp.
