78 xs400 questions

Hey guys I got a couple questions for you.
1.if im looking to buy new handle bars what width or diameter would I be looking for to fit stock.
2. I have the stock rims which are 18inch what are the max size I can run in the front and rear with no issues?
3. When the bike is off am I suppose to reach all the gears because I only can get two gears when it's off, maybe when it's running I would be able too?
4. Where would I find a smaller brake light housing set up cause this thing is as big as a block of cheese.

Well 1 is 7/8s bars

2 am not sure really look at the rim width and go from there. I have a 78 but am running scrambler type tires. when it comes to tires there are a lot of options.....

3 should be able to go through the gears but may not feel like they are there.....

4 look on amazon or ebay there are a bunch of options........
