XS400 New Member
Hi, I’ve owned an 81 XS400 for a bit over a year now. Due to a short at the magneto it caught fire and has been sitting.
Recently I replaced the entire wiring harness, new fuse box, left cylinder coil, spark plugs, magneto and stator, and a few other things.
Thankfully, the bike starts and idles great with just one kick.
Unfortunately, something is way off with the wiring of the handle bars.
Currently, the electric start doesn’t work, the high beam engages the right turn signal, and the turn signal cancel seems to work.
The horn works just fine.
I’m at a loss to what I’ve wired incorrectly, as everything seems to match up properly.
Any ideas or help is much appreciated.
