Café from the heart of Europe (intro & build)

Most of the costumers here use SR or RD wheels. I was lucky to get a frontwheel from the US and a rear hub from someone on the german board.:D

I've looked into using RD wheels, but I really want to run double disc fronts and as far as i can tell those wheels don't offer that possibility

Lucky, what size rim are you lacing your hub to? :)

well, I still need to find a front wheel from SR500 (or maybe hub from RD and relace it with 19" rim)...I want to stay with my current setup - 19"x1,85 front and 18"x2,15 rear... BUT...I don't know where to find a good rims for a reasonable price... EXCEL rims, BORRANI, Radaelli replicas or Hagon rims? All seem to be pretty expensive...

I need to finish the build and get it on the road...I believe the wheel change will be the last mod...

P.S: any tips for new rims would be great... (Europe preferred)

Nice. Where did you managed to find front hub? Are you gonna use original rims or aluminium ones?

Any hint where i can find rear hub in Europe?

Pozdravem :)

Is that 300 SL in the background? That's awesome :)

Cheers neighbor! The front one is from Germany...and the rear hub is from US...Sorry, I have no idea where to get the rear one. I belive the XS250 hubs should be available here in EU, but they are pretty rare...
Don't know about the rims yet...this one is from aluminium

Edit: 190 SL:)

Stripped the paint from some old lamp...really old, so switch to different kind of bulb was a must...but the lamp housing was too tight - solved with piece of tube and lathe:

Bike is coming along well! I see we have similar tastes :)

After you get your spoke rims sorted out, let me know if you want to offload that rear mag wheel. I'm still in the market for one. Want to use my laced rims for the street, and have a set of mags ready to throw on for the track.
