Hey guys, I don't want to start new thread...Can someone be so kind and measure the space between the rear tyre and fender on a stock bike with 18" rim? I wanna go with flat tail section and loop. I have longer shocks (about 2,5 cm (1") longer and stiffer) but I'm not sure if this will be enough, even it will be oneseater... THANKS!

I think the black cylinder fins with the silver head looks good.

It reminds me of the Triumph, my favorite.

about 8 cm...maybe I'll have to bend the loop higher

Been reading your progress this morning and NOW I'm Really Angry. I've been thinking about painting the engine and Hi lighting the fins like you've done. It looks so good that I almost Have to do it. I wasn't thinking of a polished and glossy show bike that yours appears to be. I'm more into a stealthy flat black slightly modded street fighter type. Now I have to take my engine out to paint it. I'm inspired to change my concept now. DANG!!!!!

Thanks for your support guys - I really appreciate it, because I'm little bit desperate and want to give it up sometimes:D I'm trying to do my best...

MrStubb: well my taste is changing all the time...my last vision is black painted frame, black forks and bare metal tank with some paint on it - so not so glossy as I thought at the beginning of this journey:laugh:

Today I'm workin' on the left side (sprocket) cover... with some emental cheese drilling:doh:

That's the charm of this hobby. No matter what you do there's always something else that grabs your attention. Then as you are working on your most current mod another thought, vision, idea hits you. And you have to do it as well. This constant evolution of our chosen hobby can make us better customizers if it doesn't break our finances first.

I made some "japanese rising sun" pattern in AutoCAD for my sprocket cover...now it's ready for drilling

London is to big and busy for cafe racers, ACE cafe would have been your best bet or a bike night somewhere.

makes a change with the weather
