Through various media and XS forums, I´ve noticed that a common problem when working on carbs is when the tip breaks off of the float goal posts when trying to remove or install the pin.
I don´t remember if I made this repair myself or if it was my bike shop, but it worked well, and has lasted a long time, so I thought I would share the idea for this common problem.
The repair was made by cutting a very small piece of copper tubing, ( 1/8¨ ?), squeezing it together on the remaining broken goal post top and drilling a hole through it for the pin.
See pic attached.
Hope this helps anyone that may have this issue.
Ride on brothers.

Whelp... I might need this.... thanks for this fix. It seems better than trying to jb weld or epoxy it or going through the hassle of trying to have someone weld something.

I wish I had this information a few months ago. I just got a second hand card body to get my bike running. Thanks for the good tip.
