XS400 Enthusiast
Hi folks. Have not been here for a while, but still riding my 83 XS400 Seca, with a Maxim engine.
Was reading a post by someone who had both engines apart and commented they are quite similar, but the cranks differed a bit. And of course the number of gears. When I check the claimed horsepower of the Seca 6 speed most say 45. When I check the Maxim 5 speed most say 38. They are both twin overhead cam motors. Does anyone have any more input on this. If there is an horsepower advantage, I may open up my 6 speed Seca motor and get it running.
