Looks like it's under the seat. It's one of them thin sealed ones.

The battery is indeed under the seat. What I said in the quote was regarding the ignition lock.

Any chance this thread is still alive? A great build overall, I just can't help but ask: what adjustments were made to the rear brake lever as it won't allow the swingarm go lower after applying longer shocks? Thank you.
