yea i took them out before boiling lol. Right after sent that i figured i should have specified.
Took them back apart tonight after snapping off a tappet hole bolt on my roommates '77 CB550
they seem a bit better now, at least much closer in speeds. Thanks for your help. Im going to live with it for now. still waiting on bowl gaskets to get here, and just noticed i lost both choke balls and their springs....
one day i will get to ride her...tires and tail light came today... should be ready just in time for christmas....

If you have a super size magnet, use it like a wand, we have IKEA thing, which has been very helpful.
