does anyone know if a 76-79 xs650 gas cap will fit on a 79 xs400f?

I think the PO of my bike used a different gas cap because the key doesnt fit into it and the lock is broken. Looks like he beat it up and used something to pry it open.

Also is this something I need also? My gas cap doesnt seem to have this either.

I know the 80-84 xs650 will work that is what is on mine now. They are the same. The seal will work also I am using that as well.
