Fork Seal installation

Hi folks,

As promised in my Fork Seal Removal thread: http://www.xs400.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6970 the reassembly instructions have been posted to my blog with lots of detailed pictures to follow. The operation was fully successful and the shocks fork a whole lot better now.

im sure I speak for others when I say thanks for the guide. will be helpful in the near future. I like those inner dust wipers.. do you put another dust seal on top of it all when done or leave it like that.. low profile.

I normally leave them low profile. Honestly it depends on the bike and the final treatment of the lower fork tubes. On my '79 CX500 project I powder coated the lower fork tubes matt black and opt'd for the outer style dust wipers as it completed the look better. On my SV650 and now this bike the inner ones look better against the grey of the aluminum.
