I've trouble with my motor setting.

finally my idle semms good, i can circulate but my engine seems limited! I can not go beyond an engine speed. the engine seems restained but carbs seems ok.
for exmple i'm limited to 50-60km/h in 6 gear :(

i don't think my carbs was wrong, my main jet is 135
do you think a centrifugal advance problem might make these symptoms.

I just noticed that the nut on the end of aac wasn't really tight

lhaolpa, the problem is solved. Now I'm just trying to adjust the carbs for the best setting. It's not very easy but the bike is better and better... i progress!! :wink2:

hello,

since i 've build my bike i can't really past 6000 rpms (i've not rpm but i think it's about 6000, 100-110km/h in 6).

I do a lot of testing, but nothing has solved the problem.

Carb are very clean, no problem, diaphragm are new
timing is good
synchro is good
I've try m125-135-145 main jet but nothing different for this problem

the bike is very pleasant and powerful under 100-110km/h in 6.

I do not know where to look

ideas?
 
the float level is good.
It's can not be a problem of tap because I do not have a tap depression. the air inlet of the tank works well.
the pipe intake à new and no leaks.

do you think that I have extended my collector and put mufflers law may be the source of the problem?

-stock configuration: main jet 125 / needle 4th groove
- main jet 135 / needle 3th groove
- main jet 145 / needle 3th groove

the best position under 6000 for me was 135/3th groove.
Perhaps about past 6000trs, the best is 145 / needle 3th groove but not very persuasive

I forget is it a DOHC or SOHC engine. I jetted as follows on my DOHC ran right up to red line asnd beyond - perfect:
Left Carb 132.5 main as seated on bike
Right Carb 130.0 main
Mix screws 2 1/2 out
Needle stock position
Pod air filters
stock exhaust

I mean you need to get the mains to obtain the best WOT i.e. @ 9.5k rpm

best needle position to get between 4k and 7k rpm

below 4k is the pilot jet
