Hey, so... after a conversation on another thread, it was suggested that i could turn the front end of my bike around to combat another issue i had.
This would mean reversing forks left to right and therefore having the front brake caliper mounted on the front of the fork. I have done this and it has caused a few differences in front end geometry, no biggie, no test run yet though due to other issues...
But what i am interested in knowing is...

How many have actually tried this set up?
Does anyone have theoretical issues with it?
Or any comments???

The reason i ask is (not that i doubt the theory) that i have rarely/never seen this set up in practice.

Good to hear :) As said im not opposed to the idea just find it very unorthodox. Once new stator arrives ill be able to put theory to practice

The early xs650's did this also. With the weight of the caliper out farther I can imagine it won't handle as well as the other. Also there is more stress on the mounting holes than with the caliper pushing into the fork under breaking. There was a reason they stopped making them like this in the mid 70's:wink2:
