For anyone in the Seattle area, and this may be known already, there is a wonderful bike shop:
Seattle Used Bikes.
They are a shop that focuses on import bikes and somewhat "specialize" in vintage bikes (i.e. yamaha xs's etc.)
They are super friendly, quick turn around, and super knowledgeable. Even better, they share their knowledge.
Today I took my cylinder head to get the left sparkplug rethreaded, not only did we chat bikes, but they showed me how to do it, and gave me pointers and advice on the top-end rebuild. Hell, (i wont promise the same for you) they didnt charge me for the re-threading! (i paid $20 to the "beer fund")
Furthermore, they hang out at a nearby bar to talk shop and give advice afterward!
I dont know if this is the right place to post, as really this amounts to an ad for them, but please, this is a small independent shop, with a lot of heart!
