hardtail and rake for xs400

H i people, just scored a 78xs400 and me and me panel beating mate are about to cut it up and try to go for hard tail and rake it...
ok so would appreciate anyone's help on this matter really and usefull threads or sites pls let me know,,,

and any one in australia know of any one that cuts these bikes up and does hardtail conversions pls let me know also...

The administrator on this site,Travis,makes and sells a kit for making the xs400 into a hardtail.There are many,many threads on the site concerning "hardtailing" an xs400. Do a search at the bottom of this page and there is probably one or two.Find a post by Travis,and click his name,and you can PM him.Good luck.lha

Unfortunately, shipping these kits overseas is crazy expensive. The length and weight are the problem. UPS to Australia is just over $400 and I suspect Fed Ex will be even more. Even sending them to Europe costs $300-450!

Axle plates aren't so bad though via USPS flat rate boxes.
