Heelp (new xs400 cafe build) benjies seat and tank

But I would like to change it to a cafe racer. And first of all I would like to change the seat and the tank, I found this set: http://www.benjiescaferacer.com/p_item.php?pid=3124

What shall I do to the MC? Do I have to weld or ?

What is the procedure for removing the original seat and tank, and put on the benjies set.

Hi and welcome

Unfortunately the xs650 stuff doesn't fit onto our bikes without modifications. If you're good with welding you might pull off putting that set of benjies on, but you'll likely have to do quite some work on it before having it fit.

I'm not sure what you mean by welding your MC? MC usually stands for Master Cylinder, which is part of the brake system. Wouldn't want to weld anything there.

Another tip: get the bike running smoothly before starting any modifications. It's way easier to adjust from a solid base as you go along, than it is to pile all the issues together and try to sort them out in the end. Just my 0.02$
