Hi,
Looking at getting an 1982 Heritage Special. Is there anything particularly different about their frames compared with the other XS400s? I mean like the difference between a KZ440 and KZ440LTD. Does the frame drop in the middle to create a more of a cruiser image or is it just the seat which is different?
What is the easiest way to get a flat seat on it? Eventually I'd have a custom seat but as a quick fix, does an earlier model flat seat fit or is there anything as simple as chopping the foam and adding an earlier seat cover?
It looks like there might be an extra bit on the frame under the back of the seat to house the rear light, or was this on all XS400s? If not can I just chop it off an use earlier model seats and light sets?
