XS400 New Member

My first bike was an XS-400 in 1990 and I had 4 altogether from 1990 to 2003
There must have been A LOT sold in 1981 because all four that I've owned were 1981 model year.
the were the XS special, always black, and one was the heritage model with drum brake in the front and spoke wheels. The heritage was red when I got it but it was crashed and needed bars and a tank so I repainted it green and put a MAC 2 into 1 pipe on it. With the exception of synchronizing the carbs often and replacing the rubber intake boots on each and every one they were low maintenance bikes and lots of fun.
I've had many other brands and sizes of bikes since then but I always thought about getting another 400.
