Hey guys been lurking for a while now i received my 1977 xs400 from my grandfather motorcycles where his passion and corvettes unfortunately hes no longer around, ive made it my goal to get this bike started and back on the street already changed the oil and filter got new plugs and battery hooked it all up and no spark, so i checked the points unit and its seen better days so i decided to purchase the xscharge unit on mikes xs as im waiting for the unit to arrive ive ran into a problem i cannot figure out where to hook up the wires to the coils i have noticed someone has changed some wiring on the bike and due to my lack of experience i cannot comprehend what to discard and where and how to hook up the new ignition i was wondering if someone on here can offer some guidance and photos of how they hooked up their unit to their coils would be greatly appreciated i look forward to posting more of my bike revival

Perfect! Please do send photos of how you ended up connecting to the coils when you get to it im assuming im connecting the greens to the orange wire on either coil and connecting red to red/white just cant wrap my head around where on the red and white and what kind of connection to make on it cheers
