There was one year they made a Virago 920 that was chain drive. If I get one of those I would make super cafe/street fighter out of it. That engine is really terrific.

The one I restored had a 1000 which I converted to single carb, gravity feed and the throttle response was neck snapping and they sound so sweet.

The only flaw with the Virago is the starter and the fueling is so unecessarily complicated. Once you strip all the shit off its a real sweet motor.

I sold that one as I'm not a cruise feet forward kind of guy.

yeah that cafe styled one is sick...they look especially sweet with the rear suspension exposed to the light of day....and the motors have always been popular..my buddy has one sitting in his garage ..somebody vandalized the wiring harness...but its a solid bike.
