Hey guys! I'm new to the forum and to motorcycles in general. I was able to pick up a xs400 Special for a steal of a deal (300$), anyways I'm in the process of cleaning carbs and getting her in running condition. I've come across something odd though with the fuse panel under the seat, it looks like the previous owner got rid of some fusesand now just has one and a tangle of wires going into a wire nuts? Any idea why this was done of how I could clean this up? See attached photo

Looking forward to hearing from you guys

Welcome:) I would go to radio shack and pick up a blade type fuse block a re-wire it.

Yeah, odds are the stock fuse block started to fall apart and they just bodged it. Not good for your electrical system. Try to find a "marine" fuse block, it will be weather resistant.
