Motorized Bicycles, Anyone?

Anyone here get into motorized bicycles as the gateway drug to motorcycles? When I was a late teen and early twenties, i rode a motorcycle from time to time. I got away from it, but decided (for some reason) to build a motorized bicycle a few years ago. That led to the rekindling of the 2 wheel addiction, and now, here I am.

Anyone else? Here is my project that I denominated the "HoughMade '71'":

vintage torque fest in maquoketa iowa. this was april 30th of this year. saw this guy cruising around and doin burnouts. made the mistake of cruising craigslist for a similar rusty frame. thankfully i didnt call on the ony in gary indiana lol. cruising craigslist is always a bad idea. lol

Excellent! I never got into the 2 strokes, but sometimes I wonder if they aren't more fun than my boring old 50cc Honda.

my dad is always tellin me about how he would garbage pick rototillers and snowblowers and shove them in shwin frames and rivit another rim to she side of the original one, stick a sprocket on the new rim, and the engine would spin it, thus spinning the wheel. he said they rode down the street like spread eagle because the engines were so wide compared to the frame. lol. i want to do that one day
