Just picked up this gem on Craigslist. The bike had been sitting for a number of years and was listed for the unbelievable price of free, so I offered the guy $100 to hold it for me, and thank goodness I did, said he got tons of emails from lots of interested people. The bike is in pretty decent condition, all things considered, and came with a title. The only major part missing on the bike was the gas tank. I picked up a gas tank from a local salvage yard for $50 out the door, but it needs a dent repaired on one of corners - but very clean inside. And believe it or not, the bike key worked on the tank that I picked up from the salvage yard! So a complete bike with a title for $150, what a deal!
Now I'm working on changing the oil and oil filter and reconditioning the battery (was dry). What else should I do before giving it a first start? This is my first post on this site and looking forward to being part of this community.
