Hello all!!

I am totally new to This forum and totally new to old jap bikes.
I used to ride lots of things - from cruisers to powerfull nakeds. I am a also a true ducatisti - currently in search for a next monster to live in my garage.
But since the monster will be a pretty new or a brand new bike, my constant desire to wrench something in my motorcycle will be left unfulfilled.
And now we come to the point :) i am buying a 1981 xs400 special :) its slightly older than me, has a low milage (30k km or so) but it was bearly ridden the last 14 years, so although it looks very nice, it needs some work to run her.

Cant wait, im picking it up in a few days!:)

As soon as she runs (winter is coming) i am planing to... Yes, to modify it :) id loge to have a scrambler in my garage :) will share more soon!

I'll post some more pics as soon as I get my hands on this thing :) for now, just one pic from the ad.
And I hope to have my own build-thread as well! I know I will need a lot of help/knowledge from you guys, but I am also willing to give it back some day :)

Still not sure if I will restore it or "scramblerize" it...

Yes, exhaust is non-stock. Sounds very nice, but looks horribly ugly...
