Present state of my XS

This is what it looks like right now, front and rear. Lights are updated to something more modern, functional, and better looking, gauges are new (old ones crapped out).

It's wearing some cheap grocery-getter bags, not the nicest looking things, but functional. If anyone has suggestions on better ones, I'm all ears.

Im pretty sure that are hard to find but maybe you will get lucky and find a pair of those plastic boxes on ebay.Leather is an option also

What plastic boxes are you thinking of? Were there XS400-specific ones at some point?

They call them wings,they old fashion cargo carriers for motorcycles.Theres a member on here that has them on his bike.

I always thought wings were what those weirdos in UK called fenders.

I did a search for bags here, but didn't come up with a whole lot.

I remember a thread about a guy here making his own wings. Have a little search I think he made them from fiberglass or something similar.

Yea those british weirdos call fenders wings, but only on cars I think. Just like the trunk is called the 'boot' and the hood is the 'bonnet'. Luckily we don't have all those, so it's less confusing

I have a set of wings ... came with the bike and I love them!!! they have no markings on them .....good luck on the hunt
