Just want to know if anyone on here has had success fitting wire spoked rd350 or rd250 rims onto an xs400. Did the drum brakes give you any trouble? Did the axles slide right in? Did you need new wheel bearings?

I'm pretty sure the only ones that will work without modification are the mags from the RD400 Daytona. The RD spoke rims and hubs are different.

I have a 75 rd250 front spoke disc wheel on my 80. I had to turn down part of the rd axle to work with the xs lowers. I think it was 17mm to 15mm. Then I used the rd speedo drive.

The rd axle is 17mm and the xs400/360 lowers/axle is 15mm. So I had to take it to a machine shop so they could mill down the end that slides into the fork lower. To do this swap you need all the rd250 spacers and speedo drive also. This is for the front wheel only.

Hi,
I try to find spoke wheels to my XS400 Special.
Front wheel 18x3,0:
XV 250
XS 250
XS 360
Rear wheel 120/90-16:
SR 125
Has anyone tried it? Do they match or Someone have a good solution ?
