Hi,
I think my Maxim 400 need a new absorber. I have found some 12R-22210-01-00 online, but they are used or crazy expensive.
Do anybody know a good alternative to replace it?

Thanks in advance.

What year? I have an 83 and am replacing the factory mono shock with one from an R1. If interested in it let me know and can figure out a price. Hell I wont want much either.

is a 1983, but I want to get something new and probable with better technology.

Well cant help you there......like I said am going with an R1 shock but it requires modification to the frame to make it work......

I do not know of a bolt on fix..........

But it is not plug and play...I needed to weld an extension on the frame side...but it is well worth the work.

Sorry I said R1 and yes just like Jeff did an R6 they are only 50 bucks or less on ebay.......but there are mods that need to be done.
