O bought two tire irons from Harbor Freight, used a piece of plastic cut from an empty oil jug. Lay the wheel flat, use the plastic between the iron and the wheel to protect from damage. Work your way from one point to the next with the irons until one side of tire is outside of the wheel, repeat steps to pry the other side of the tire off the same side you pried the first. Be patient and if possible use a helper to hold one iron in place while you pry with the other. YouTube has some video's that's helpful also.
