I’m cleaning up my motor with all new gaskets and seals. I feel like the P.O. had no clue what he was doing. I pulled the oil pan? Where there’s a screen on the bottom of the motor. Found two small set screws. Two different lengths. Anyone have an idea if they actually go somewhere to the motor?

Lol thats a bit scary. I had my 360 engine down to nothing and I cant recall any set screws.....? Cant even think of what theyd be used for inside the engine.

Yeah, scratching my head on that one. They look like shorter versions of the valve adjustment screws.

That was the first place I checked but these guys are two different lengths and have I think a 2 or 2.5mm Allen head. Not a scratch on them. All threads are clean. I have no clue. I know it’s been sitting for over 10 years. Who knows maybe one of the previous owners had something open and their kid decided to drop stuff in the motor. I’ll still give it a good look over but yeah I don’t think they have a place in this engine.
Thanks guys.
