Sprocket changes?

Have you changed tooth count on either or both front and back sprockets?

I have a 78 XS400E. I bought it last fall and only got it fired up and running a few days before riding season was over :-( Sprockets and chain are in need of replacement. My original plan was to start up in the spring and get a few more miles before I replace them. But now I plan to extend the swing arm necessitating a new chain. The sprockets are so bad they need to change with the chain but I have not put on enough miles to know if I would change tooth count or not.

So the question is have you changed your stock sprockets? Adding exactly what you did and why would be great to know too.

I run a 16-37 on my bikes with a stock 110/90-18 rear wheel. It drops the rpm's by about 500 from the stock 16-39. Still goes fine around town and better on highway speeds.
