Starting my project

Discussion in 'The Garage' started by nitrofish1, Oct 21, 2011.

  1. is there a specific part number for a piece of rubber that goes in between the headlight brackets and the forks to keep the whole assembly from bouncing around on the road? i looked myself and at the dealership and it did not show anything on the parts schematics. the bike didnt come with these but im told that theres supposed to be something there?

  2. Id hold out for another input first, would hate for ya to order it and it be wrong.

  3. going to have to wait anyways, bikebandit doesnt carry that part. going to the dealer this week tho they may have it

  4. Wouldn't be to hard to silicone the spots, down side would be pealing it back off when you remove the forks next time.

It may be easier and cheaper to buy new "ears" that hold on your headlight. I think I saw some that fit the xs400 for like $9 on z1enterprises.com

  12. ended up going with drag bars, turned them down so it has a nice sport bike feel to it. im sure my back will thank me later but i wont help but have a huge grin the whole time.
