I've got my side covers stripped and painted and would like to clean up the tank by removing the Yamaha logos. Been looking for some kind of different trim or decals to cover the area. I've thought about trying to just fill and spot paint the area but not sure how it would turn out. Believe it or not, I found a rattle can of original Yamaha Carmine Red I must have bought in the late 70's and it still works! Any chance I could mask off the general area and spot it in, buff it, and have it look halfway decent? I've got a buddy who painted his Suzuki tank white and put BMW decals on it. Seems to run better. LOL.
