Ended up getting a 360 motor off ebay cheap a while ago (carbs & headers included), worked out to be about $60 from memory. The cables coming out of the gearbox were all melted (must have caught on fire?) but I have a whole alternater to just swap out with the cables and sockets intact. Also sourced some NOS 3rd oversize pistons and rings. It looked REALLY crusty when I first got it but its come up alright. Here she is all vapour blasted and ready to reassemble, should have a little bit more poke than the 250 :bike: I wont fit this until Ive had the frame painted and everything else is sorted, so basically final assembly and this will go in.

cheers spad :) yeah it came up all right, but wow there are some really terrible casting marks in some of the side covers and crank cases, lots of little bubbles! Gonna make it that little bit harder to polish the side covers.

Havent updated this recently because its been real chilly over here but the weathers starting to warm up and ive found some motivation :) It feels like im finally on the home stretch with this build!

Ive just started doing the final tear down and nearly have the frame ready for sandblasting. Then need to get a rear hoop welded on, cut off any unwanted tabs from the frame and get it painted. Also the 360 motor is pretty much finished with a completely rebuilt top end (pistons rings rebored) all new seals throughout, new cam chain, relapped valves, new stainless bolts, re zinced crankcase bolts. Just need to reinstall the camshaft & pop the head cover on.

Doesn't look like much now but im starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, lol.

Unfortunatly ive hit one little snag, the brake arm is stuck in the frame!! Its not coming out im thinking of trying drilling it out but the metal is really hard, as you can see in the photo I gave it a try to see just how hard the metal is. Once I have the frame on its own I can get it on a drill press.

Or maybe taking it to someone with a press of some sort and get it pressed out. Anyone got any good ideas? Its just really stuck from rust and wont budge.
