Triumph Daytona 600 Stator Problems

Hi guys

My 81 xs400 keeps revving up to around 4000rpm and wont drop. Have checked for air leaks and found none, but that is a problem for another day.

My Triumph Daytona stator burned and I got it rewinded. It still wont charge the battery and it is brand new. The voltage at the 3 yellow wires are 6v 10v 14v. That cant be good? Help please??!!

Dont know anything of a triump, but the 400, check the carb boots, make sure the vacumm tube is on or capped. If its on, check the petcock make sure its connected to one of the carb boots. Haha, I remember not checking for that, prior to taking my Drivers license road test.

When you tested the stator voltage, did you unplug the regulator? Is your stated voltage AC?

No the regulator was not unplugged. Yes it is AC.
