Hi, I'm part way through getting a XS250 rolling chassis together but need some bearings for my yokes. I've only managed to find the sealed roller bearings but they're not cheap! Ideally I'm looking for some loose bearings but can't find what size they are anywhere, any help would be fantastic.

Thanks, Ollie.

I have loose bearings in my 81 xs400. I know there were 19 on each side but did not measure them. I like them bercause they are a lot beefier balls than in a sealed bearing.

Use a lot of grease to hold them in place on the races then put the neck back together.

I repack loose ball bearings every day at the Bicycle shop.
Like xschris said. Lots of grease to "glue" them in place and you are good to go. A small screwdriver or pick is usefull for manipulating them as needed.
