its been a while, but got some progress done. completly bare frame except for wheels and suspension components. my question is, how did you guys get your hardtail axle plates? did you make them? buy them, and if so, where? i know the rear axle is 17mm and the xs650 plates i see are all 20mm so that wont work. i suppose i could use the stock ones, and cut around the welds where the swingarm goes, but that wouldnt looks too clean. and suggestions?

o yeah drewpy, since youve helped me out here and there and it seems that these bikes are your speciality, i used your name to refer some chopcult members to this forum. might have whored it out a bit just to get more traffic through here and help it grow.

this is where i used your name, if you dont mind.

  14. Whoring out Drewpy, huh? Didn't even pay him, or take him to dinner? hahaha Good job though, I say anything for the cause. Hopefully Drewpy feels the same!

you got me over to here. id rather be on a 400 specific forum for most of my questions anyways. we need to get more people from chopcult and other forums with xs400s. the more people the more information we can share. maybe one day there can be a xs400 specific site for parts
