I couldn't find any. Right now its too tight to put on if I took enough off to shorten mine by two links and I have to un-bolt the sprocket from the camshaft to get the chain on before I rebolt the sprecket . I figured that was about right but there is a bit of slack when its all put back...
Not yet. I was rather hoping to not have to do a 80% rebuild again. There's gotta be a better way. All my old hondas still have factory chains and twice the mileage. They're also 10 years older. I thought chain auto-tensioners existed to eat up the chain stretch.
I know the manual says the cam chain tensioner needs no maintainence but I cannot fathom how a spring won't loose some tension in 33 years. My cam chain jumped two teeth again :( I've already fought this thing once. Bought a used setup (can't find new) and I'm in the same mess again. Is there...
After I removed rust balls from my carbs I tore my tank off cut it open and sand balsted the bejesus out of it. Redcoat hasn't given me any issues with flaking or bubbling although this winter I had a fuel leak and didn't notice it. I've got a few pinprick sized rust spots from six months of...
Well id rather ride mine then keep it full. I don't know if kreem or por or something else works best but I wouldn't be caught dead without a sealant of some kind. To each his own.
gotcha ill be disconnecting and sanding that spot on my frame soon and rechecking that wire. i was concerned that not having a good connection between the engine and the frame would hinder spark plug performance. new plugs will be installed again soon as well. anything better than the plain...
great idea and warning thank you i may just end up doing that nail file bit. ive honestly never had an issue with disconnecting a pigtail i just know how brittle old plastic can get and trying to force a wad of wire into a space smaller than the wire tends to either break plastic or bend the...
Is there a factory ground from the engine to the frame or is it just the bole running through the bottom of the block? My frame is painted so it makes a crappy ground. Anybody added a ground and if so where? Pics? Trying to find an easy/quick/cheap electrical boost to my bike for better spark.
I just dont know if there is a proper solvent. hadnt thought about wires wicking up solvent. just know how well that stuff eats the cacium/lime buildup we midwestern yanks seem to find on everything lol. idk if i should try it or just stick with what i know (wire toothbrush) i just doesn't...
