Welp, she's my only ride so microfiber it is until I can get some filters, I've been filter-less for a few months now so I guess I'll need to douse my valves with intake cleaner
Yeah this is the same bike, and it sat for about 5 seconds lmao, I rode her home and to work the next day and every day since then.
I plan on cleaning them tonight and maybe I'll sync them if I can find some clear tubing and I'll sync them up because I've never done that. I should note that I...
Thanks for the help, nobody had them in stock for less than $400 so i grabbed a set off ebay for an '04 R1 that looked similar and I just swapped the mounts and after a little splicing they work fine. It didn't solve my ultimate issue of power loss at 4500RPM though.
The pickup coils are way out of spec on my 1983 XS400K and I am having a hard time finding OEM part numbers or aftermarket options, can anybody point me in the right direction?
Get one from http://www.ignitech.cz/en/
They offer plug and play boxes custom made and programmed for any number of bikes, they even have programmable options like the TCIP4 that allows you to get the most out of your bike and they even provide the software and custom made adapter that will go...
I highly recommend an aftermarket solution as I only found one OEM TCI on Ebay for $600, that's more than I paid for the bike in the first place!!! Ignitech offers plug and play TCI's for this bike and even a programmable option for like $30 more, and both are plug and play with no custom...
I have the exact same bike and I'm having either a TCI or pickup coil problem, so I ordered an aftermarket TCI from ignitech ($179 on my doorstep) but I went with the programmable one so I can't test it yet, does anybody know where to find pickup coils for this bike?
It took a solid second or two but I got a reply and they gave me the programming software, it'll arrive on the 17th!
Is there a guide on where to start off with tuning this thing, or even just a graph of the stock timing advance?
Wow thanks, funny enough, I emailed them and they said I could buy a non programmable one that would be plug and play or a programmable one with an adapter to fit my bike, does that sound right?
I'm mechanically inclined, check my most recent post for a more detailed description of my issue. Would you mind telling me a little more about programmable ignitions?
