Battery box foam?

What kind of foam are you guys using for your battery boxes? I've searched but can't find what type I assume some dense closed cell stuff but will cheap ole polystyrene do? I'm just worried about the battery getting warm and melting polystyrene.

I have rubber around the sides of mine.Works fine keeps the battery firmly in place

a chunk of auto floor mat or mud flap off a truck work well cut to size

I dont have any foam. What's it for? To keep your battery from vibrating too much?

I've used this in the past for other reasons. At a local hobby shop look for receiver packing foam. Some times called Flight preserver. It's a closed cell urethane foam available in various densities and thicknesses. I use it in my Rc Airplanes and it really saved some expensive equipment when I rekitted (crashed) my latest plane.
