So its raining and of course today I have several items coming in the mail for my bike. Float bowl gaskets (i should have waited for lol) new speedo cable, new clutch cable. So shes here and Im leaving, probly be back if I tackle clutch cable lol just wanted to know if anyone else gets excited seeing their mail person and wants to hug them when they know they are getting parts? Oh yea and I do hug the bike bout 20 times in the couple weeks Ive owned her LOL

I never get the chance,They drop the stuff off at my door then they are gone

Never ordered parts on line. get most of my stuff through a friend at our local Yamaha dealer up the street from my house. The hug might be a little awkward (and start some talk around the shop) but I do undedrstand your excitement for new parts. And yes there has been the ocassional bike hug too.

my mail carrier is a fat old retired marine I'm afraid if I tried to hug him he would kill me

I just get a "I tried to deliver today" card as I watch him run for the post van before I can answer the door!

Yea I'd be real upset with him if he took my stuff back to post office. They just drop it on my porch but usually I see them before they see me lol. Waiting on post again. floatbowl drain screws, air filter, motor mount, and now master cylinder. Mount and screws should be here tomorrow. Good times to follow.

Yea I dont know the UPS guys so I just shook his hand but he could tell I was waiting for box when I ran outside as he pulled up. LOL he looked kind of surprised. this waiting for parts crap is exciting but I hate it at the same time. However it does give you time to step back reflect on your project. Reviving this old girl one piece at a time.
