250~400 camshaft

Hi guys I've had a search on here but found no info.

For the life of me, i cannot find the camshaft from my new 400 engine I'm fitting and I'm sure it had one (was a year ago I took it apart) I've moved the garage round so much I can't find it, but if I have no joy I have 4 250 camshafts, anyone know if they are the same?

Maybe you only have 3 250 camshafts and 1 400 in there... :wink2:

Lol no the others are inside engines still.

Couldn't let it go tho so went back in for a second search and have just found it

They should be the same.

Just been through a manual and the degrees are different, so I guess that's a no then, the valves will openat different times.

Cams are the same but the valve timing is different. The 250 uses different size/stroke pistons also the head size. Timing is 5 degrees off from the 400.

So the cams are interchangeable?
