Ah yes, 1976. I had bronchitis and pneumonia from Jan - June that year.
But we mustn't complain about rain this year - not while our colleagues over-'ome are literally underwater or Drewping wet!
The beneficial thing about our winter being so cold this is that the Great lakes are mostly ice covered,less evaporation with snow melt should help the water levels come up.
The state of California is in extreme droubt and while they got some relief recently they many more storms to help with the water shortages they are suffering.I alos read either Lake Mead or Powel is something like 30-50ft below normal pool level and that they are more tunnels being constructed so they can release more water into the Colorado river.
Another thing is out west they built these large cities in the middle of the dessert an area that keeps growing in population and also putting more strain on the water resources.
The Great lakes and its water means that we will probably never run out of water which will keep put.
Anyways this isn't supposed to be weather thread

I know, I know, but the Aussies and Californians simply write about riding their bikes in the hot dry weather (poor babies) and the poor Brits can't even write because their infrastructure is underwater.... Anyways this isn't supposed to be weather thread
Were it not for those of us in our igloos worrying if we will ever ride again, this thread would be pretty dull - lol
Well I envy those of us here that have a heated garage so they can work on their bikes.I wish I had one I`d have a big wood burner and have the place up 70*

I just keep buying gear, and parts, and making plans to fix my bike up, and where to ride it, and then i look outside and its all snow 
Its killing me! The longer this weather goes the more i worry about my bike :S i tried starting back in Dec and it wouldn't start, haven't touched it since then...

Working on ideas for a new solo seat. Cut up a stock seat pan so it would fit the new tank, added 4" of foam to the top and 2" on the sides of the stock foam and have started shaping it. Not sure if it is going to work, but it is fun turning foam into dust with a sanding disk on my grinder!
luckily, I'm oop north, although wet no flooding round here.
Somerset and Dawlish seems to have the brunt of the weather

Thank you. The nice thing is I only have about $950 in the bike total
If you take off all the stock parts from the bike that I sold it's around $500 I also only where short pants while working on the bike as well as T's

Stock 80 seat cut down and recovered. The recover is not as nice as I would like but it only cost me $40.
XSChris is your other bike as clean this one?Got any pics of it?
I don't start cleaning the bikes until march or so. This was how it looked when I put it up in October.

Looks pretty sharp there to me,you have good knack for detailing the bikes.I don't put as much effort into mine because I live on partial dirt road so dust is always flying around.If I have the time this summer I want to a better job of polishing the engine crank case and the lower forks.
