The greasey fingers build :)

The brake is from like a 98-99 R1, and the 320mm rotor came off an aprillia 1000 from memory but these rotors are a standard size and theres many different styles to choose from. If I put that PDF at 66.7% and hold the actual part on the screen in the trace out, the scale looks perfect. You will also need a disc spacer, which unfortunately I don't believe is possible to make by hand. Drewpy has a whole thread on this conversion, that's where I was getting info/inspiration.

wow, great job! No graphics on the tank or side covers?
The only thing I would change is headlamp position...It's seems to be too high...

Cheers guys! I was a bit unsure of my colour choice at first but its really growing on me now. And thanks heaps jray with all your help on the front brake mod, really you made that happen for me and it makes a HUGE difference to the overall look and of course braking performance (yet to try). Im really loving the brake mod

Thanks heaps guys! Rob the mudguard is a universal one made in England (polished alloy). I got it from ebay but the seller doesn't have them atm. I had to cut it down to suit and if you have a look on the chain side I had to cut a small piece from above the chain so it would clear the mudguard. Anyway one last hurdle and shes done!!!!!! The hurdle kinda sucks tho.....I have to tear down my freshly rebuilt motor and transfer it into my original engine case because its registered with those numbers. Otherwise I would have to take it in to get inspected and I really don't want to do that :(

Hey Greasey F can't you just swap in the complete 250 engine for the inspection. It would be more straight forward than splitting the case etc. Then once it has rego re-install the 400.

Not sure in VIC but in NSW you don't even have to start your bike to get it rego'd.

Should have done that when you rebuilt the motor:wink2::confused:

Hi pork chop, its already registered on club rego so I could just run run it. Its if I want the numbers to be altered on the paperwork it would need to be inspected. Im only thinking that the numbers need to match the paperwork if I get pulled over and checked. They mainly go by the engine number here not so much the VIN. Would they often check the engine number on club reg bikes do you think? To make sure people arn't just throwing number plates onto similar but unregistered bikes.

I haven't updated this for a while, weather was really shitty for a while and I hate working on stuff when its cold and miserable outside and ive been slack lol. Weathers better now and in hoping to have this finished within a month. Its all registered I just need to finish off a few minor things and im done...cany wait to be done with it and finally riding
