Quick question. Is it a bad idea to not install the center stand? Would it compromise the integrity of the frame?

It wont compromise anything but it will come in handy when you want to change your oil or do a valve adjustment.Other than it possibly interfering with a after market exhaust I don't see any reason to remove it.
It makes curb jumping easier if its gone, if thats your thing.
