RobbyD's 78 xs400 cafe build

Like I said in my previous post, I ordered tires yesterday.

To my surprise my front tire already showed up! That's some fast shipping right there!!

Yeah yeah, their shinko's. Their cheap, look good and I didn't have any problems with them on my last bike. It's no corner carving, wheely riding, do the ton x's 2 kind of bike so they more then fit the bill for me

Shinkos are fine; I run them when I can on any vehicle I have. I put a set on my GSX-R 750 (135 bhp) without issues; I've never seen real proof of any lower quality issues. Most tire models they sell have great reviews online as well.

Most people who trash certain brands of tires either have no talent and blame tires for their own mistakes or they simply have no idea what they are talking about and likely have no experience with the brand in question.

Bingo.

I'd say even the crappiest brand tire out there now is leaps and bounds ahead of the best tires available when this bike came out.

I put the same Shinko's on my FIL's bike we gave him and they've held up well.

I think Shinko and Kenda need to give Travis some royalty money since nearly everyone on here has 712's or Challengers

The 120 rear tire is going to look goooooood!!!!

Fingers crossed I have time to stop by the local bike shop to get my old tires dismounted so I can paint my wheels. That whole finding time thing is a b!tch these days lol

No updates so far. Between my truck needing a cam and lifters and now a tranny and shit around the house I haven't had the time or extra cash.

Yeah shit happens I guess, stupid Chevrolet and it's stupid tranny...lol

Oh and btw, that tire was just balancing in that pic, wasn't mounted
