hybrid of xs400 and bolt

I like my maxim and I like the new bolt.
So if i could combine them this is what I would get.
it's a crude MS paint pic but it gives you an idea.

Well i wouldn't cut up my Maxim for a millions bucks.... ok well maybe, but i don't have a bolt yet and wouldn't cut it up either...
The thing is, Yamaha has already done a cafe and scrambler version of these, it would be just cool to see a throwback version to the maxim generation. The XJ550 and Xj650 already are dual shock swing arm so they are more likely easier to swap out...

Anyway.. if your listening Yamaha, i will buy that one next year instead of the r-spec...

Given the styling of the new Honda Rebel it's not impossible that Yamaha might announce a smaller, kicked-up, old-school factory custom style economy bike in the next couple of years. I haven't seen anything specific, but if there's a demonstrated market, well.

After reading your post I looked up the honda rebel and that 500 looks like a blast to ride...
will have to go to one of them demo days to test ride one:D
