Hi Guys, (and any other ladies out there)
I've got the Aprilia front forks, triple trees and spindle, and am trying to keep the Yamaha front wheel.

Thanks to the previous threads here I've found the bearings I needed for the neck and the front wheel, but now I'm looking at the brake caliper. Instead of fabricating a new bracket to mount that onto the Aprilia forks, I'm wondering if picking up Aprilia front caliper might not be easier? Has anyone here tried that?

Here's what I started with. Hopefully one day I'll have a "finished" photo.

It is much easier to use an Aprilia caliper. There are quite a few modern discs that will work with our rims and the Aprilia caliper. You still will have to shim the disc (away from the hub) in order to get it perfect in the caliper. I used a combination of spacer plate and shims on the caliper mount to get everything perfect.

It's not something you want to mess with if you don't know what you are doing though. A disc that is dragging bad on a caliper pad will result in you going over the bars at speed.
