Hi there. I want to restore, and fix my carbs.
I am kinda lost in which KIT i need to buy. And maybye someone has a video of them cleaning their carbs on a 1980 xs400?
If you have done a carb fix, please let me know where you ordered your kit and a link would be nice!
Or maybe some better description on which exact carbs I have on my bike.
All I can find is Mikuni MIC Kyogo...

Are they not functioning properly?
If they are but you just want to do a cleaning, the most basic kit should be all you need. Maybe not even that, if your bowl gaskets come off clean, you may be able to reuse them.
My advice, if this is the first time you are doing this, get your phone and take pictures of everything before and as you take it apart, you can never have to many. Then sneak into your wifes pantry and grab her favourite cookie sheet and put a nice microfibre cloth in the bottom of it to keep things from sliding around. Then start disassembling, lay it out, one piece at a time, you can even count how many rotations the needle valves came out with so if you want to set it up the same way, or at least have a good starting point when you put them back on, it'll give you a starting point of reference when you put them back together. Take everything apart, noting the orientation of each piece as you take it off, or out, and then clean everything. The more organized you are the better. It's a lot of pieces, but if you keep track of everything, there's not to many places other than the place it belongs that any given piece can go.

Good luck.

These weren't completely apart yet, but pretty close.

Very nice! Thanks for the tips. I filmed everything I did so far. But the gaskets are in really bad shape. Also the bike wasn’t standing up straight so I noticed that the left carburetor had a lot more dried up fuel and bad stuff. So gaskets need replacement further more I will clean everything part by part and with the right tools. Read that some parts are from brass so it should be treated gently. I might have been a little too enthusiastic and messed up some bolts but I will replace them with galvanized ones.
Do you have a after pic as well? Looks good!!
