Is exhaust wrap worth doing? Anyone use it? Anyone dislike it? I'd really appreciate the imput.

I've always liked the look of wrap on older bikes; it seems to come and go as far as what's cool to do.
You'll find arguments for using it and for avoiding it; I'd say if you like the look, go for it! It can also hide unsightly dents if you need to
Remove the pipes, secure them to a workbench or similar, get the wrap nice and wet, and take your time. Slow/steady/tightly wrapped is best. And wear gloves! Make sure you order enough... it's a pain to have to stop and wait for more to come in.

I really like the look, someone I know is discouraging it. I still may, looks nice on older motorcycle and bobbers.
These pipes are double walled so it makes little to no performance benefits. It will also speed up rusting. Most wraps don't last long either and fall apart. A good ceramic hi temp paint will last and protect the pipes much better. It also can be easier to touch up if need be.

I read up on it at lunch and I saw the moisture can get stuck inbetween the wrap and pipe causing it to rust faster. They recommend to run it every once in a while if you're not a frequent rider to prevent the build up.

XSChris, would it do more harm then good to paint and then wrap it?

Heated water corrodes like 3X faster than normal.

Thanks for the insight. Much prefer it running smooth than shitting the bed and needing to get new pipes.
