Hi everyone! I've very recently bought an 83 XS400 Maxim, I did a compression test and have about 35 psi difference in between the two (sitting on the bike, left 130psi, right 95psi) proceeded to do a leak down test and concluded the compression is going into the crankcase. I haven't opened it up yet, but I was wondering if parts are available (in Canada preferably) for the DOHC engine. Rings, or oversized rings If needed, etc. Any info would be great! Thanks so much.

I did a re-ring job and head on my 78 sohc last year and used the same rings from the seller Buddha suggested. You can definitely still find parts. I had to get creative for the sohc cam seal and measure it and found a honda front wheel bearing seal to use as a replacement though. I just ball honed the cylinders, lapped the valves and it's running great. 150 psi in both cylinders now. It burned some oil for about 200 miles before the rings seated in though.

Awesome! Thanks so much. I'm gonna rip it apart and find out exactly what I need and then I'll look into those guys.
